Self-hosted alternatives to Jira

Jira is Atlassian's hosted work and issue tracking product for software and business teams. One listed app does its main job and runs in your own Cloudflare account.

Each answer comes from the app’s README and source code, compared with the features Jira describes on its own site.

  • Projektor issue list for the PROJ project with issue refs, priorities, assignees and statuses

Issue tracker and wiki for teams working with AI coding agents, with the same operations exposed over MCP

Issue tracker and wiki for teams working with AI coding agents, with the same operations exposed over MCP

What a Jira user would miss
It has no timeline or calendar view, no automation rules, no native Slack or GitHub integration and no burndown charts, and sign-in goes through Cloudflare Access.
What it adds
It runs in your own Cloudflare account on one Worker with D1, KV and R2, includes a nested wiki with revisions, and exposes issues, boards, sprints and the wiki over an MCP server so AI agents can file and move tickets.
  • Yes Work items (issues) with configurable work types and fields. Workspace-defined task types, statuses and custom fields, with priority, assignees, labels and parent and child links.
  • Yes Backlog and Scrum sprint planning. Backlog list view, epics and sprints with a sprint manager that shows velocity.
  • Yes Kanban and Scrum boards. List and kanban board views with drag between status columns.
  • Partly Customizable workflows. Custom statuses grouped into todo, in progress, done and cancelled categories; no transition rules found in the source.
  • No Timeline and calendar views. The web app has backlog, board, epics, sprints, metrics and wiki pages; no timeline or calendar view found.
  • Partly Reports and dashboards. A flow metrics page covers lead time, cycle time, throughput, review latency and created versus completed; no burndown chart found.
  • No Automation rules. No automation rules engine found in the source.
  • Partly Integrations with tools such as Slack and Figma. REST API, an MCP server and a feedback widget; no native Slack, GitHub or Bitbucket integration found.
