Self-hosted alternatives to Mailjet

Mailjet is a hosted email service for marketing campaigns and transactional mail through a REST API or SMTP relay. One listed app does its main job and runs in your own Cloudflare account.

Each answer comes from the app’s README and source code, compared with the features Mailjet describes on its own site.

Transactional email API and shared team inbox built on Cloudflare Email Sending, Email Routing and D1

What a Mailjet user would miss
It has no SMTP relay, campaign editor or outbound event webhooks.
What it adds
API keys can be limited to chosen domains and come as test or live keys, and the same project adds a shared team inbox.
  • Yes REST API. POST /v1/send with an API key, an Idempotency-Key header and rate limiting.
  • No SMTP relay. No SMTP service in the source or docs.
  • No Marketing campaigns with a no-code editor. No broadcast campaigns or newsletter editor listed.
  • No Webhooks for delivery, open, click and bounce events. No outbound webhooks, the bounce webhook route only receives reports.
  • Yes Dynamic templates with variables. Variables in custom Handlebars templates and 50 built-in layouts.
  • Partly Inbound parse. The inbox Worker receives mail through Email Routing and threads it, but there are no inbound parse routes or webhooks to your app.
  • Partly Unified analytics for campaigns and transactional sends. Send logs and stats routes, no open or click tracking listed.
