Self-hosted alternatives to Privnote

Privnote is a web service that turns a note into a link that self-destructs after it is read. One listed app does its main job and runs in your own Cloudflare account.

Each answer comes from the app’s README and source code, compared with the features Privnote describes on its own site.

Burn-after-read encrypted notes, with the key kept in the link fragment and a CLI for terminal output

What a Privnote user would miss
A choice of expiry time and a notice when the note is read; the interface is English only.
What it adds
It adds an npm CLI that pipes terminal output into a one-time link, a delete link and a QR code for sharing, and runs in your own Cloudflare account with no analytics.
  • Yes Write a note and get a one-time link without an account. No accounts, link carries the note ID and key after the #.
