Self-hosted alternatives to Shopify
Shopify is a hosted ecommerce platform for building and running online stores, with checkout, payments, shipping and an app store. One listed app does its main job and runs in your own Cloudflare account.

- What a Shopify user would miss
- An app store, point of sale, marketplace and social channels, a theme store and multi-currency; minshop is a single-merchant store with one store-wide currency.
- What it adds
- MIT licensed, runs in your Cloudflare account, accepts Stripe cards and Bitcoin over Lightning, works with JavaScript turned off, and exposes a JSON API and MCP server so AI agents can browse and buy.
- Partly Online storefront with themes. Server-rendered storefront with product pages, cart, nested categories and search; themes are compiled source chosen at build time, not installed at runtime.
- Yes Products and inventory. Product and variant management in the admin, with stock reserved at checkout and In stock, Low stock and Sold out states.
- Yes Hosted checkout and payments. Stripe Checkout for cards, Bitcoin Lightning through phoenixd, LNbits or OpenNode, and a demo rail.
- Yes Orders and fulfillment. Admin for orders, customers and fulfillment, with CSV export and order confirmation email.
- Yes Shipping rates and labels. Shipping zones with flat, weight-banded, local pickup and free-over-threshold rates; optional Shippo labels for domestic orders only.
