Self-hosted alternatives to Site24x7

Site24x7 is a hosted monitoring platform for websites, servers, networks, cloud services and applications, with synthetic checks and hosted status pages. One listed app does its main job and runs in your own Cloudflare account.

Each answer comes from the app’s README and source code, compared with the features Site24x7 describes on its own site.

  • Uptime Guard dashboard for a Production project with one service down, one warning and the recent checks of each service

Uptime monitor for websites, ports, DNS, certificates and cron jobs, with Telegram alerts and public status pages

Uptime monitor for websites, ports, DNS, certificates and cron jobs, with Telegram alerts and public status pages

What a Site24x7 user would miss
It has no multi-location checks and server monitoring, and covers ping/DNS checks, transaction monitoring, email/SMS alerts and a full status page only in part.
What it adds
It also has domain registration expiry checks, owner login that needs a password plus an authenticator code and data that stays in your Cloudflare account.
  • Yes HTTP(S) and REST API monitoring with keyword and content checks. HTTP(S) checks with an optional body keyword present or absent, or a JSON field value.
  • Partly Ping and DNS checks. DNS record checks over DNS-over-HTTPS; no ICMP ping.
  • Yes SSL certificate monitoring. TLS certificate expiry check, warns 14 days before by default.
  • No Checks from 130+ locations with multi-location rechecks. Checks run from the Worker with no location choice.
  • Partly Synthetic transaction monitoring of multi-step flows. Script monitors chain up to 10 HTTP requests with captured values and assertions; no real browser.
  • No Server monitoring for Windows, Linux and FreeBSD. No server agent or resource metrics.
  • Partly Alerts by email, SMS, push and integrations such as Slack and PagerDuty. Telegram and Web Push only; email, Slack and Discord are on the roadmap.
  • Partly Hosted status pages. Read-only public page per project with each monitor's status and 90-day uptime; no incident posts.
