Self-hosted alternatives to Slido

Slido is a hosted audience interaction tool for meetings and events, with live polls, Q&A, quizzes and surveys that work beside presentation software. One listed app does its main job and runs in your own Cloudflare account.

Each answer comes from the app’s README and source code, compared with the features Slido describes on its own site.

What a Slido user would miss
There are no rating, ranking or open-text polls, no word clouds, quizzes or surveys, no integrations and no analytics beyond a JSON export.
What it adds
Apache-2.0 and runs in your own Cloudflare account; it works beside any PDF, Google Slides or Canva deck without an add-in, and people join without an app or account.
  • Yes Audience Q&A with upvotes and moderation. Questions with support from other participants, a moderation link, audience reports, slow mode and a delay before questions reach the screen.
  • Partly Live polls: multiple choice, rating, ranking and open text. Up to eight polls per event, each multiple choice with two to six options.
  • No Word clouds. Not available.
  • No Quizzes. Not available.
  • No Surveys. Not available.
  • Partly Integrations with PowerPoint, Google Slides, Zoom, Teams and Webex. No add-ins; the presenter view shows a PDF or a Google Slides or Canva link next to the dashboard, and a web component embeds the panel in HTML decks.
  • Partly Analytics and exports. Live dashboard and a JSON export through the admin API; no reports.
