Self-hosted alternatives to TinyURL

TinyURL is a URL shortening service that adds custom aliases, custom domains and click analytics. Two listed apps do its main job and run in your own Cloudflare account.

Each answer comes from the app’s README and source code, compared with the features TinyURL describes on its own site.

What a TinyURL user would miss
Tags and bulk creation, and every user signs in through Cloudflare Access.
What it adds
Several slugs can point at one link, bundles add up clicks across a campaign, and an MCP server lets AI assistants manage links.

  • Yes Custom aliases for branded links. Custom slugs beside random ones.
  • Partly Connect a custom domain. Served from the domain the Worker is attached to; one domain per deployment.
  • Yes Click analytics by location, device, referrer and time. Country, referrer, device, OS and browser with an adaptive timeline.
  • Partly Link management with search, tags and archive. Disable and enable links and slugs, bundles and archived bundles; tags are not yet available.
  • No Bulk link creation. Import and export are listed as not yet available.
  • Yes API for creating and managing links. REST API with OpenAPI spec, SDKs and an MCP server.
