Self-hosted alternatives to 1Password

1Password is a password manager that stores logins, passkeys and other sensitive items in encrypted vaults and fills them in browsers and apps. One listed app does its main job and runs in your own Cloudflare account.

Each answer comes from the app’s README and source code, compared with the features 1Password describes on its own site.

Bitwarden-compatible password vault server that runs on Workers, D1 and R2 in your own Cloudflare account

What a 1Password user would miss
Shared family or team vaults and breach or weak-password alerts, and would use Bitwarden's apps instead of 1Password's.
What it adds
It runs in your own Cloudflare account under the LGPL-3.0 license, with data in D1 and R2 and optional scheduled backups to WebDAV or S3-compatible storage.
  • Yes Encrypted vaults for passwords, cards and other items. Vault data in D1 with the original Bitwarden web vault UI.
  • Yes Autosave and autofill in browsers and apps. Official Bitwarden browser extension and mobile app listed as tested clients.
  • Yes Password generator and passkey support. Password generator page in the web vault.
  • Partly Sync across Mac, Windows, Linux, iOS and Android. Real-time push sync; Windows, Linux, mobile and browser tested, macOS desktop not fully verified.
  • Partly Share items with family or teams, including expiring links. Send links and invite-code accounts with separate vaults; organizations and collections are not implemented.
  • Yes Store two-factor authentication codes. TOTP codes including steam:// support.
  • Partly Alerts for weak or compromised passwords. Password Security page checks stored passwords for exposure (Pwned Passwords), reuse and weakness; no alerts.
