Self-hosted alternatives to PairDrop

PairDrop is a free web app that sends files and text between devices in the browser, on the same network, between paired devices or through temporary public rooms. One listed app does its main job and runs in your own Cloudflare account.

Each answer comes from the app’s README and source code, compared with the features PairDrop describes on its own site.

  • CloudDrop waiting for devices in room 2EEB42, with a room code field and Connected status in the header

Encrypted peer-to-peer file sharing between browsers, with room codes and a Worker relay when direct links fail
