Email Explorer

Email Explorer creates a mailbox automatically when the first message for an address arrives. Each mailbox lives in its own Durable Object, and attachments are stored in R2. A Vue dashboard controls access with owner, admin, write and read roles.

Email Explorer ships as an npm package plus a small template Worker that imports it. The template wires the package to a SQLite-backed Durable Object class, an R2 bucket and a send_email binding. The Vue 3 dashboard has a TipTap rich-text composer and supports reply, reply-all and forward with threading. Users can sort mail into custom folders, search the full text of every mailbox they can access, download attachments, keep contacts and set one signature per mailbox. An admin panel manages users and grants access to mailboxes. Editing src/index.ts switches from the default smart mode to open registration or turns authentication off. Setting accountRecovery.fromEmail in the same file enables password reset by email. The Deploy to Cloudflare button deploys the template/ folder.

The button deploys the Worker, Durable Object and R2 bucket. You then create Email Routing rules that deliver mail to the Worker and, to send mail, onboard the domain to Cloudflare Email Sending.

Good to know

The first visitor to register becomes admin, so register right after deploying. Draft autosave, inline image uploads and two-factor login are not available yet. Each user account owns one mailbox, though admins can grant access to other mailboxes.
